1. Distance yourself from originality
You don’t always have to think big. Sometimes it is the little things that make the difference. So distance yourself from the idea of creating something revolutionary or completely new.
2. Solve a problem
What is it that is not working out or is really annoying you? I am sure you are thinking of something specific at the moment. I am sure you know of something that you would like to change, a problem that exists in your life or society. And if not then pay attention to your surroundings, to your everyday life. There must be somthing you are not 100% happy with. This is your chance to find opportunities…opportunities for a new Business Idea.
3. Seize on trends
Be a trend-setter. Watch the news, go to different places, even different countries or cities and have an eye on what is trending there. This will be your chance to jump on the bandwagon and be among the first ones with that yet still unknown trend. With the view of the big picture and an entrepreneurial attitude you can thus, find new approaches that enable opportunities for a new Business Idea.
4. What’s your passion
Think about your biggest passion, your favourite hobby that you would love to do 24/7. Did I just see a smile on your face? A huge source of inspiration can be something you do in your leisure time and are an absolute expert in. You can take this to the next level and turn it into a business. VoilĂ it can be so easy.

10 ideas a day is a very useful and powerful technique to get your brain into top gear. It can help you to let your imagination flow and just think outside the box. 6. Make something better
In today’s world endless products and services exist that don’t work or no one needs. So why don’t you take a look at those things that would need some alterations to completely satisfy one’s needs? Discover a problem or a gap within a service or a product that is rather preventing consumers from using it correctly or in the worst case from using it at all. This is your call to make it better and find a solution to the problem.
7. Start by doing anything
Don’t be shy to start with a silly idea. It is the process that counts. Design Thinking is an advantageous tool to train your mind and to find new perspectives. It also gives you an idea on how to see through the eye of a consumer. So even though your first idea might not lead you anywhere, it is still a good training to see how much you can eleborate it.
8. Distract yourself
When you have trouble focusing and finishing your task, then why don’t put everything aside and do something completely different? Don’t force yourself with coming up with a new idea at once. Instead distrcact yourself, walk around, meet friends, go to the movies and so on and so further….do what your heart desires. The best ideas come into our mind when we expect it the least. So try it out!
9. Talk to people
Another good way to find a Business Idea is to talk to family and friends. You never know what they experience in their daily consumption and take notice of. They might have something in mind that needs to be changed that you would have never thought of.
10. Explore needs
And while you are talking to other people listen to what they articulate, what are missing in their lives, what they wish they had or was different. Where there is a need there is a source for a new Business Idea, isn’t it?
